This bowl is made from locally sourced hardwood for a durable and simple design. The bowl was turned on a foot-powered polelathe, a technology that can trace its history back many centuries. Evidence of polelathe use was found at Jorvik, the Viking settlement discover beneath the city of York.
I use walnut oil to protect the wood if you require an alternative finish please contact me.
Cherry Finger Bowl Aftercare:
It is recommended to clean these bowls with soap and water and not to use a dishwasher.
If the finish starts to fade, simply apply a coat of food grade walnut or linseed oil.
