Are you interested in exploring the ancient craft of bowl turning using traditional techniques? My Greenwood Courses offer a unique opportunity to develop your skills and create beautiful handmade bowls. And of course, you will be under the guidance of our experienced instructor.
You will work on a dedicated pole-lathe and make your own wooden bowl, which you will take away at the end of the day.
Whether you are a complete beginner or have some experience in woodworking, this 1-Day Introduction to Pole-lathe Turning course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn the basics of bowl turning. During the course, I will coach using a traditional pole lathe and hook tools to turn a wooden bowl blank into a beautiful and functional bowl. Our course covers the essentials of bowl turning, including selecting the right wood for a bowl, creating a bowl blank*, and mounting it onto the lathe.
