About

JB Woodcrafts is a small, family-owned business specialising in traditional greenwood woodworking. As the founder and lead artisan, a self-taught expert in the field, I discovered my passion for creating unique wooden bowls and containers after taking a course in stool-making. Today, I am known for starting JB Woodcrafts. And more importantly of producing beautiful and functional wooden bowls, containers, and other custom-made pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing and built to last.

At JB Woodcrafts, I predominantly use handmade tools and a foot-operated pole-lathe to create my pieces. All the wood used is sourced locally from tree surgeons or other woodworking projects. The alternative is for the wood to be turned into firewood. This not only helps to reduce waste but also gives each piece a unique character. No two pieces of wood are exactly alike.

If you have a specific project in mind, I would happily work with you to bring your ideas to life. Whether you have had a tree removed and would like a memento or you appreciate the beauty of traditional woodworking, JB Woodcrafts is committed to delivering the highest quality products and exceptional customer service. So, why wait? Get in touch today and let’s bring your vision to life!

In addition to creating unique bowls, I offer pole lathe training courses either for individuals or small groups.
